For some reason, I have only just now been able to finish posting the last post (where I go on about the iron curtain in the Vienna Opera House). On the past three attempts, blogger (I guess!) wouldn't complete the post--I only had the first and last sentence of a rather long post. Maybe they were trying to protect me from saying something in inflammatory.

Today is Lucy's birthday! She is nine and doing fine. She is ultra skinny and has many many sutures spangling her abdomen. Oh, to be young, carefree, and spleenless.

I keep forgetting to say this, but, "Yes! Me, too!" I can't wait!
