Chimera Song Mosaic
I'll be in Austin tomorrow for the Austin International Poetry Festival, which looks like a lot of fun. I get to read a couple of times, and even though I imagine it is a poetic free for all (and I have to admit I am a poetry snob even though in most other things I am very, uh, populist), I am still excited because I have not had the chance to read in five years. Whew. Also, Many of my high school friends went to the University of Texas and then settled in Austin, and they have welcomed me back with promises of board games and pot lucks and all kinds of support! Which is wonderful. Sort of like the highlights from the ten year class reunion I did not attend.
